Shri S Jagathratchakan: Shri K E Prakash:- Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Parliamentary Committee had flagged persistent underutilisation of funds and reduction in physical targets by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under key schemes for persons with disabilities such as the DDRS and if so, details thereof and the action taken in this regard; (b) the number of projects proposed under Deendayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) during the past five years and the number of such projects approved, State-wise; (c) the total funds allocated and released for projects under DDRS during the past five years, State- wise, along with reasons for any underutilisation of funds; and (d) the details of projects approved under DDRS during the last five years, including the name of the implementing organisation, district, nature of the project and the amount allocated to each project in Tamil Nadu? VERMA) (a) The details of Expenditure for the projects under the DDRS for the years 2022-23 to 2024-25 is as follows:- (₹ in crore) Financial Year Expenditure 2022-23 114.69 2023-24 129.98 2024-25 139.39 It is evident from above that budget expenditure under the DDRS has consistently increased over the years.
