INCLUSION OF BUNGUS VALLEY UNDER THE NATIONAL ROPEWAYS
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME.
2181 SHRI CHOWDRY MOHAMMAD RAMZAN:
Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government proposes to include Bungus Valley, one of the most scenic and
famous tourist destinations of North Kashmir, under the National Ropeways Development
Programme being implemented in collaboration with NHLML;
(b) whether Government has conducted any feasibility study or DPR has been prepared for
establishing a ropeway to Bungus Valley to improve connectivity to this area, promote
sustainable tourism, generate employment for local youth and boost the regional economy;
and
(c) whether Government intends to take immediate steps to explore and approve such a
project?

Development Programme is under consideration.
