India's Contribution to the International Fund for Agricultural Development
1327. Shri Bastipati Nagaraju:
Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) whether any provision has been made in the Union Budget for India's contribution
to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) during the current
financial year and if so, the details thereof, including the amount allocated and the
relevant budget head;
(b) the details of India's contributions to IFAD during the last ten years, indicating the
amounts pledged and disbursed, year-wise;
(c) the details of IFAD-assisted projects currently under implementation in the
country, State/UT-wise, indicating the total project cost, IFAD assistance and the
corresponding contributions of the Union Government and the State Governments;
(d) the details of IFAD-assisted projects in Andhra Pradesh, including the
implementing agency, total project cost, IFAD assistance, Government contribution,
districts covered and the key objectives of each project; and
(e) whether the Government proposes to undertake any new IFAD-assisted projects
in Andhra Pradesh and, if so, the details thereof, including the timeline for its
implementation?

(a) Yes, an amount of Rs. 76 crore has been allocated for FY 2026-27 as the final
instalment of India's contribution to the International Fund for Agricultural
Development (IFAD), in the present replenishment cycle.(b) The details of the amount pledged and disbursed in the last ten years are as
under:

* 90% of the IFAD assistance is repaid by Central Government to IFAD.The gap between the project cost and the combined contribution of IFAD assistance
and the share of the State Government is financed through other sources including
Central and State Government schemes, and contributions from domestic financial
institutions.
(d) Currently, there is no IFAD-assisted project in Andhra Pradesh.
(e) No project proposal has been received from the State Government of Andhra
Pradesh for IFAD assistance.
