(b) if so, the details of the major outcomes thereof;
(c) the number of international country pavilions and thematic zones/areas showcased therein
along with their scope; and
(d) whether major Public Sector Undertakings showcased technologies as part of the strategy to
make India a leader in global energy transition and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) Yes. As part of India Energy Week 2025 (IEW’25), India hosted a Clean Cooking
Ministerial, bringing together global policymakers, industry leaders, and experts from countries
such as Brazil, Tanzania, Malawi, Sudan, and Nepal, along with leading international
organizations like IEA and private sector like TOTAL Energies. They exchanged perspectives
and looked at collaboration to achieve energy justice and affordable energy for all.
In this context, India's Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was highlighted which has been a
significant milestone in India's journey towards ensuring clean cooking fuel for all, promoting
health, environmental sustainability and women empowerment by replacing traditional cooking
fuels like firewood and cow-dung cakes. This ministerial roundtable highlighted India’s
remarkable success in ensuring universal access to clean cooking gas through targeted subsidies,
strong political will, digitization of distribution networks by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs),and nationwide campaigns promoting cultural shifts towards clean cooking. It also reinforced
India’s leadership in the global energy transition and clean cooking solutions, laying the
groundwork for deeper international collaboration in ensuring clean energy for all.
(c) IEW’25 witnessed participation of over 80,000 visitors, 700 exhibitors in the course of 4 days
across 120 countries, 9 country pavilions including from Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan,
Netherland, Norway, Russia, USA, and the UK. The event introduced 9 thematic zones, each
focusing on different aspects of the energy sector:
1. Hydrogen Zone – Showcasing cutting-edge innovations in hydrogen fuel generation.
2. Biofuels Zone – Highlighting India's advancements in Biodiesel, Bioethanol, Compressed
Biogas, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
3. Renewable Energy Zone – Featuring innovations in solar, wind, and other renewable energy
technologies.
4. LNG EcoSystem – Focusing on India's downstream LNG supply chain and eco-friendly fuel
solutions.
5. Make in India Zone – Highlighting indigenous energy manufacturing capabilities.
6. City Gas Distribution Zone – Emphasizing India's rapid progress towards a gas-based
economy.
7. Petrochem Zone – Showcasing advancements in petrochemical technologies and sustainable
solutions.
8. Innovation Zone – Featuring emerging startups and breakthrough technologies in energy.
9. Digitalisation Zone – Showcasing AI, IoT, and automation in optimizing energy production
and distribution.
The event also witnessed ministerial level participation from Venezuela, Qatar, UK, Tanzania,
Russia, Brazil, Nepal, Sudan, OPEC among others. More than 15+ strategic partnerships and
MoUs spanning from hydrocarbon trade and cutting-edge renewables to next-generation energy
solutions and exploration in India’s sedimentary basins were signed.
(d) During IEW’25, exhibitors were provided with a platform to showcase cutting-edge
technologies that drive sustainable energy solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and improve
energy accessibility.Indian PSUs showcased innovations such as hydrogen-powered buses,
ATM-style LPG dispensing machines, deep-sea simulation game, indigenous Solid Oxide Fuel
Cell System, e-tractor for sustainable agriculture, tidal wave energy initiatives. Other innovations
showcased during the event included AI-driven cost optimization tools, cost-effective biofuel
conversion kit for two and three-wheelers, real-time operational monitoring systems, hydrogen
burners, flex-fuel vehicles, highlighting the transformative potential of emerging energy
technologies in driving India’s clean energy transition.
