Shri Murari Lal Meena: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) the number of complaints received regarding fake research papers, fake publications, forged certificates or other documents related to the appointment of teachers in Delhi University and its affiliated colleges since the year 2020; (b) the number of cases out of the said complaints in which inquiry committees were constituted along with their present status; (c) the number of cases in which appointment were cancelled or other administrative and disciplinary actions were taken following the inquiry; and (d) the number of cases handed over to the police, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or other investigative agencies along with the steps taken or being taken by the Government to prevent such irregularities in the future, including mandatory digital verification of research papers, publications and certificates? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (DR. SUKANTA MAJUMDAR) (a) to (d): University of Delhi is a statutory autonomous organization established under Delhi University Act 1922 and governed by provisions of the Acts and Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations made thereunder. The University has informed that no case regarding fake research papers, fake publications, forged certificates or other documents related to the appointment of teachers has been reported in the departments of University of Delhi. However, two cases have been reported in Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening) and Bharti College respectively. In case of Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), the matter is subjudice before Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. In case of Bharti College, complaint has been submitted to the SHO for registering FIR and the faculty was terminated after following the due administrative process by the Governing Body of the College on recommendation of Enquiry Committee. *****
