IRREGULARITIES IN SPENDING OF PM SHRI FUNDS
210. SHRI RAJEEV RAI:
Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) the amount of fund sanctioned by the Government for upgradation of erstwhile
Kendriya Vidyalaya at Mau to PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, during the last
three years;
(b) the details of amount spent by the school authorities in these years, financial
Year-wise;
(c) whether the Government has noticed any irregularities and arbitrariness of the
school authorities in spending these funds;
(d) if so, the details thereof;
(e) whether any audit of this expenditure has been made and if so, the details
thereof; and
(f) the details of the proposed infrastructure upgradation plans of the School in the
current financial year?

(a) & (b) The implementation of PM SHRI scheme started from the financial year
2023-24. The details of funds allocated and expenditure incurred under the scheme
for the upgradation of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mau over the last two years are as
follows:

Amount Spent 3015436/- 3988588/-As of now, no funds have been released under PM SHRI Scheme for the
financial year 2025–26 for this vidyalaya.
(c) & (d) Few procedural lapses were identified during internal audit and were
subsequently rectified and necessary steps were taken in accordance with the
prescribed norms.
(e) As per information received from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), the
internal audit of the funds released during the financial year 2023–24 was conducted
in August, 2024.
(f) An amount of Rs. 388.10 lakh had been sanctioned for “Renovation and repair
of school Building and upgradation of Residential quarters including internal electrical
installation and fans etc.” from Government grant to KV, Mau.
There is no upgradation plan of this Vidyalaya under PM SHRI scheme, in the
current financial year.
