Issuance of Kisan Credit Cards
2302. SMT. MALA ROY:
Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Kisan Credit Cards issued during the last three years, State-wise details
thereof;
(b) whether the Government has fixed any target percentage in this regard, if so, the details
thereof; and
(c) the details of the saturation level in this regard?
ANSWER

(a) The details of state-wise operative Kisan Credit Cards are provided in the Annexure.
(b) and (c) Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is a demand-driven scheme under which timely and
affordable credit is provided through the banking system to all eligible farmers engaged in
agriculture and allied activities to meet their working capital and investment credit
requirements. The credit limit to all eligible farmers under KCC is determined according to the
scale of finance, area under cultivation, cropping pattern, and related requirements.
As reported by RBI and NABARD, the total number of Operative KCC accounts as on 31
March 2026 was 7.28 crore and the amount outstanding in these accounts was Rs 10.08 lakh
crore.
