GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CULTURE LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION No. 2415 ANSWERED ON 15.12.2025 KALA SANSKRITI VIKAS YOJANA IN ASSAM 2415. Shri Gaurav Gogoi: Will the Minister of Culture be pleased to state: (a) the total number of beneficiaries covered under the Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY) during the last five years and the current year, State/UT-wise, especially in Assam; (b) the details of number of NGOs, cultural organisations and individual artists assisted under the scheme, especially in Assam; (c) the details of total funds allocated and disbursed under KSVY during the said period, especially for Assam and other North-Eastern States; and (d) the details of the steps taken by the Government to ensure transparency, timely release of funds and improved outreach of the scheme, particularly among rural and grassroots cultural practitioners in Assam? ANSWER MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a) and (b) Ministry of Culture implements Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY), under which financial assistance is provided to eligible cultural organizations and individual artists engaged in performing arts across the country, including the State of Assam. The State/UT- wise details of number of beneficiaries (NGOs, cultural organisations and individual artists), along with the amount disbursed/authorized under various components / sub-components of KSVY during the last five years and the current year are given at Annexure. (c) Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY) is a Central Sector Scheme and there is no provision for State-wise allocation of funds.
