Parliament Question: Kisan Credit Cards in Andhra Pradesh

SHRI KESINENI SIVANATH: Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state: (a) the number of Kisan Credit cards that have been issued in the State of Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (b) the amount of loans that have been availed by farmers, district-wise and year-wise during the last five years; (c) the amount of loans that have received Prompt Repayment Incentive classified, district- wise and year-wise during the last five years; (d) whether the Government has any plans of increasing the loan limit under Kisan Credit Card; and (e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY) (a) and (b) As reported by State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC), Andhra Pradesh, the district-wise details of number of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) issued and amount disbursed thereon in the State of Andhra Pradesh during the last five years are provided at Annexure-I. (c) As reported by banks on the Kisan Rin Portal (KRP) of Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DAFW), the district-wise, year-wise details of KCC loan amount disbursed under Modified Interest Subvention Scheme (MISS) and details of Prompt Repayment Incentive (PRI) released thereon since Financial Year 2022-23 in the state of Andhra Pradesh is provided at Annexure-II. Before the launch of KRP in 2023, the granular district wise PRI data was not maintained.
