Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state:

(a) whether there is a proposal to ban the manufacturing of telecommunications-
related equipment in the country by some foreign companies;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether attention of the Government has been drawn to the news items
published in the 'Dainik Bhaskar' dated 16.05.2025 regarding proposal of the
United States of America to put an end to the manufacturing of iphones in India
and if so, whether it is being considered; and
(d) if so, the reasons therefor?
