THIRU DAYANIDHI MARAN: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: a) whether the Union Government has approved the Detailed Projects Reports (DPRs) submitted by the State Government of Tamil Nadu for the Coimbatore and Madurai Metro Rail projects and if so, the current status of both proposals along with the reasons for delays in approvals, if any; b) the details of all DPRs submitted by other State Governments for metro rail projects during the last eleven years including the project name, date of submission, date of approval, time taken for approval and the approved funding pattern, State-wise; c) whether any States have received fast-track approvals for metro projects during this period and if so, the details of the criteria used to determine prioritisation; and d) whether the Union Government proposes to establish a time-bound, transparent approval mechanism for metro DPRs to ensure uniform and non-discriminatory processing for all states and if so, the details thereof?
