Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state:

(a) the prevailing rate of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC)
industrial land in Kolhapur district;
(b) whether land pricing varies based on project size or employment generation, if
so, the details thereof; and
(c) the incentives available for large manufacturing projects in Kolhapur district?

(a) & (b): 'Industries' is primarily a State subject. As per information received from the
State Government of Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Industrial Development
Corporation (MIDC) has issued a Circular No. P-71225 dated 15.03.2024
wherein the revised prevailing rates of Industrial plots in various industrial areas
have been made effective from 01.04.2024. These rates do not vary as per
project size or employment generation. The details are as under:

(c): Government of India provides support for promotion of industrial activities
across the country including Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. Through the
Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and other
Central Government departments, an enabling eco-system for the overall
industrial development of the country is provided through appropriate policy
interventions.The Department has taken various initiatives for promotion and facilitation of
industries across States/UTs such as the Make in India campaign, Start Up
India, PM Gati Shakti, National Industrial Corridor Programme, Production
Linked Incentives Scheme (PLI), promoting Ease of Doing Business (EoDB),
National Single Window System (NSWS), India Industrial Land Bank (IILB),
Project Monitoring Group (PMG), liberalization of FDI Policy, Uttar Poorva
Transformative Industrialization Scheme (UNNATI-2024) for North East States
of India and Indian Footwear & Leather Development Programme (IFLDP) etc.
The State Government of Maharashtra has also informed that as per Package
Scheme of Incentives-2019, following incentives are available for large
manufacturing projects :
1. Exemption from Electricity Duty
All eligible New Units are exempted from payment of Electricity duty for a
period of 7 years.
2. Waiver of Stamp Duty
New as well as expansion units are eligible for exemption from payment of
Stamp Duty during the investment period for acquiring land and for term
loan process.
3. Industrial Promotion Subsidy
a. The Special Large Scale and Large Units situated in Karveer, Panhala,
Hatkangale, and Shirol talukas having Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) of
more than 50 Crore but less than 750 Crore or 500 Minimum Direct
employment are eligible for Industrial promotion subsidy of 60% of
eligible FCI for 7 years.
b. The Special Large Scale and Large Units situated in Kagal, Gadhinglaj,
Chandgad, Ajara, Bhudargad, Radhanagri, Bavada and Shahuwadi
talukas having FCI of more than 50 Crore, but less than 500 Crore or
400 Minimum Direct employment are eligible for Industrial promotion
subsidy of 70% eligible FCI for 7 years.
