(a) whether the milk production has reached 39.7 MT in the year 2024-25 in the country;
(b) if so, the percentage of milk obtained from cow and buffaloes out of the total milk production;
and
(c) whether the Government has data regarding milk obtained from cows and buffaloes across the
country and if so, the details thereof, State-wise?

(a) As per the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2024, the country's total milk production is
239.30 million tonnes.
(b) The percentage of total milk production contributed by cows and buffaloes is 53.12% and
43.62%, respectively.
(c) The State-wise cows & buffaloes milk production is placed at Annexure-I.
