SHRI RAMPRIT MANDAL: Will the Minister of FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING मत्स्यपालन, पशुपालन और डेयरी मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the milk production has reached 39.7 MT in the year 2024-25 in the country; (b) if so, the percentage of milk obtained from cow and buffaloes out of the total milk production; and (c) whether the Government has data regarding milk obtained from cows and buffaloes across the country and if so, the details thereof, State-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING (PROF. S.P. SINGH BAGHEL) (a) As per the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2024, the country's total milk production is 239.30 million tonnes. (b) The percentage of total milk production contributed by cows and buffaloes is 53.12% and 43.62%, respectively.
