GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD & PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT OF FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION FLAJyA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1149 TO BE ANSWERED ON 10TH FEBRUARY, 2026 MONITORING FOOD GRAIN QUALITY SUPPLIED UNDER PDS 1149 : S H Rl JOSE K, MANI : Will the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution be pleased to state : (d): whether Government has taken any measures to strengthen the mechanisln for monitoring foodgrain quality supplied under PDS; (b): if so, the details thereof; (c): whether any complaints regarding spoiled or substandard grains have been received: and (d) if so. the action taken? : ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD & PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (SHRIMATI NIMUBEN JAYANTIBHAI BAMBHANIYA) (a) and (b): The Department has formulated and issued a Quality Control Manual, to uniformly maintain the quality standards of foodgrains from procurement to its distribution to the eligible beneficiaries through various social security programmes of (lol. (c) and (d): No complaints have been received regarding spoiled or substandard grains. 88$$8
