GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 5821 TO BE ANSWERED ON 30TH MARCH, 2026 MONITORING MECHANISM FOR EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES 5821. SHRI HARISH CHANDRA MEENA: Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has established any mechanism to monitor and track the employment outcomes of youth registered on National Employment Portals, such as the National Career Service (NCS), regarding details of jobs, internships, apprenticeships and skill development programmes; (b) if so, the details of the number of jobs, internships, apprenticeships and skill enhancement opportunities provided through the said portals in Rajasthan during the last three years and the current year, year-wise; and (c) the details of total number of youth registered on the said portals from Tonk and Sawai Madhopur districts, along with the successful employment outcomes and job placements recorded from the said districts? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) to (c) The National Career Service (NCS) Portal is a one-stop solution for providing career related services including jobs from private and government sectors, information on online & offline job fairs, job search & matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, skill/training programmes etc. through a digital platform [www.ncs.gov.in] to all stakeholders across the country. As on 28.02.2026, more than 6.26 crore jobseekers have been registered on NCS Portal out of which more than 45.68 lakhs jobseekers are from Rajasthan (including Tonk and Sawai Madhopur districts). Notifying final hiring figures is not a mandatory requirement on NCS Portal. However, since inception more than 2.25 crore jobseekers have been shortlisted across the country through NCS Portal, out of which more than 2.85 lakhs jobseekers are from Rajasthan (including Tonk and Sawai Madhopur districts).State/UT-wise and year-wise details of vacancies mobilized may be seen at https://www.ncs.gov.in/_layouts/15/ncsp/ViewStaticReport.aspx NCS portal is also integrated with Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) that is specially designed and developed to skill, reskill and upskill individuals through an online training platform for jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. The integration of NCS Portal with SIDH has paved the way for the skilled jobseekers on SIDH to avail the benefits of NCS Portal and the jobseekers of NCS to avail the skilling services offered by SIDH. Government is also implementing Skill India Mission (SIM) to deliver skill, re-skill and up-skill training through an extensive network of skill development centres/ schools/ colleges /institutes etc. under various schemes, viz. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) through Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the country. The SIM aims at enabling youth of India (including Rajasthan) to get future ready, equipped with industry relevant skills. Under Skill India Mission (SIM), PMKVY scheme, introduced in 2015–16, has trained and certified over 1.64 crore candidates (up to 31 October 2025). Under NAPS, 49.12 lakh apprentices have been engaged from 2016–17 to FY 2025–26 (up to 31 October 2025). The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS) announced in the Budget 2024-25 aims to provide internship opportunities to one crore youth in top 500 companies in five years. PM Internship Scheme provides an opportunity to the youth to get training and gain experience and skills within the real-life environment of various businesses or organizations with the intention of enhancing their employability by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
