Furthermore, under the National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), the state of Gujarat received assistance that facilitated the installation of 47 Bulk Milk Coolers (BMC) with a total chilling capacity of 150,000 liters and 148 Automatic Milk Collection Units (AMCU) at village-level milk collection centers in Valsad and Dang districts.
Finally, the response indicates that there are no current government plans to converge with women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) for promoting dairy entrepreneurship.

(a) The progress of the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) in tribal
areas of South Gujarat is placed as Annexure-I.
(b) Under the National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), assistance was
extended to the State of Gujarat, resulting in installation of 47 Bulk Milk Coolers
(BMC) with a total Chilling Capacity of 150 thousand litres, along with 148 Automatic
Milk Collection Units (AMCU) at village level milk collection centers in Valsad and
Dang districts.
(c) At present, the Government has no plans of the Government for convergence with
women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs) under NRLM for promoting dairy
