(a) the details regarding the list of National Centres for Sports
Sciences and Research (NCSSR) proposed, under implementation and
presently functioning across the country, State- wise, especially in
Andhra Pradesh;
(b) the details regarding the list of academic courses offered in above
specified NCSSR across the country and the number of graduates in
a year-wise manner, institution-wise during the last five years;
(c) the details regarding the total funding allocated, released and
utilised, NCSSR-wise during the last five years; and
(d) whether the Government has any plans of increasing the number
of NCSSR across the country and if so, the details thereof and if not,
the reasons therefor?

(a) Under the Scheme of National Centre of Sports Sciences and
Research (NCSSR), this Ministry has set up the NCSSR at Indira
Gandhi Sports Complex, Sports Authority of India (SAI), New Delhi as
the Hub and supports by providing sports science equipment to SAI’s
11 National Centres of Excellence (NCOE) and 2 High-Performance
Centres (HPC), which act as Spokes. Further, this Ministry also
supports the setting up of the Sports Sciences Department and
Sports Medicine Department in the six Universities/Institutions and
five Medical Colleges respectively, across the country. The listof Universities/ Institutes/Medical Colleges selected under NCSSR
Scheme are as under:
