Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to
state:
(a) the current status of proposed National Code of Conduct, 2025
against age related frauds in national games;
(b) the major reforms suggested under these proposed policies for
good Governance and to strengthen sportspersons rights in the
Indian sports ecosystem;
(c) the steps taken by the Government to curb Age Fraud in all levels
of sports across the country; and
(d) whether any fund allocation is made to various levels of sports
authorities to ensure the availability of adequate age determination
infrastructure and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) The draft National Code Against Age Fraud in Sports
(NCAAFS) 2025 was placed in public domain for inviting comments/suggestions from all stakeholders, including sports federations,
athletes, coaches, sports administrators, and the general public till
14th April, 2025. The comments/ suggestions have been received and
are currently under examination.
(c) & (d) For prevention of age fraud in sports the Ministry of Youth
Affairs & Sports has issued guidelines under the ‘National Code
Against Age Fraud in Sports’ (NCAAFS), effective from 1st April 2010.
Under NCAAFS 2010, concerned sports bodies such as National
Sports Federations (NSFs) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) are
required to get all the players in age level competitions medically
examined at the time of registration or allowing a new athlete to
participate in an event and issue them identity card.
In terms of NCAAFS 2010, SAI carries out the age verification tests
before admitting an athlete into its Sports Promotion Schemes.
Likewise, NSFs are entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out
age verification tests in accordance with the NCAAFS 2010.
NCAAFS 2010 provides for reimbursement of cost for medical
examinations conducted by SAI and NSFs.
