NATIONAL HIGHWAY PROJECTS IN ANDHRA PRADESH

be pleased to state:
(a) the total funds sanctioned by the Government for National
Highway (NH) projects in Andhra Pradesh from Financial Year 2019-
20 to Financial Year 2025-26, year-wise;
(b) the actual capital expenditure incurred by the Ministry on these
NH projects in Andhra Pradesh during the same period, year-wise;
and
(c) the current status of National Highway projects under
implementation in Andhra Pradesh including the number of projects
facing delays due to land acquisition, forest clearance or other
approvals and the steps taken by the Government to expedite their
completion?

(a) Government in Ministry of Road Transport & Highways
allocates funds State wise. The year-wise details of funds allocated
for National Highway (NH) projects in the State of Andhra Pradesh
from Financial Year 2019-20 to Financial Year 2025-26 are as under:

(c) At present, 106 National Highway projects are under
implementation in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The current status
is summarized as below:

The progress of National Highway projects depends upon timely
availability of encumbrance-free land, statutory and forest/
environment clearances, utility shifting, law and order conditions,
availability of construction materials, contractual obligations and
other project-specific factors.
The Government and implementing agencies monitor the progress
of projects regularly at various levels and take appropriate
measures, including close coordination with the State Government
and other stakeholders, for expeditious land acquisition and
handing over of encumbrance-free stretches, obtaining statutory
and forest/environment clearances, shifting of utilities in
coordination with the concerned agencies, resolution of contractual
and technical issues and regular review and monitoring to facilitate
timely implementation of the projects.
