**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 2935, answered on August 6, 2025, by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, the following information regarding the National Quantum Mission (NQM) was provided.
The Government of India approved the NQM with an outlay of ₹6003.65 crore for a period of eight years. In the financial year 2024-25, ₹86.00 Crores were allocated, ₹43.07 Crores were disbursed, and ₹32.77 Crores were utilized. The utilization of these funds resulted in the establishment of four Thematic Hubs (THubs) in Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, Quantum Sensing and Metrology, and Quantum Materials and Devices. These THubs comprise 14 Technical Groups having 17 Project Teams across 17 states and 2 Union Territories, bringing together 152 researchers from 43 institutions.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Assam, is a member institute under the Thematic Hub of Quantum Computing and was allocated ₹6,92,800 in the financial year 2024-25.

Will the Minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) the total amount of funds allocated, disbursed and utilized for the National
Mission on Quantum Computing (NMQC) during the last five years along with the
outcome of utilisation of the said budgetary allocation;
(b) whether any amount of funds have been allocated to the universities, IITs,
NITs and regional institutions in the North East Region during the last five years;
(c) if so, the details thereof, State-wise; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The Government of India approved the National Quantum Mission (NQM)
with an outlay of ₹6003.65 crore for a period of eight years. Under the Mission
four Thematic Hubs (T-Hubs) have been established in the financial year 2024–
25 in the areas of Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, Quantum
Sensing and Metrology, and Quantum Materials and Devices. The total
allocation, disbursement, and utilization under the mission is given below:
