GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEPARTMENT FOR PROMOTION OF INDUSTRY AND INTERNAL TRADE LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 317. TO BE ANSWERED ON TUESDAY, THE 21ST JULY, 2026. NATIONAL SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM 317. DR. BHOLA SINGH: Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state: वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री (a) the present status of implementation of the National Single Window System; (b) the number of Ministries, States and services integrated with the platform; (c) whether the Government has assessed its impact on reducing approval timelines; and (d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री (श्री णिणिन प्रसाद) THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) & (b): National Single Window System (NSWS), accessible through nsws.gov.in, is a one-stop digital platform for facilitating Government to Business (G2B) approvals and investor-related clearances for industry in a streamlined manner with transparency and accountability. At present, NSWS is integrated with 32 Central Ministries/Departments and 34 States/UTs, providing seamless access to 325 Central G2B approvals and 2215 State G2B approvals through a single platform. (c) & (d): NSWS provides a single-window platform for businesses to apply for registrations, approvals and licenses. All efforts are made to provide a seamless experience, however, the timelines for grant of approvals depend upon the existing business processes, service delivery mechanisms and statutory requirements of the concerned Ministries and Departments. While no separate study has been done on reduction of approval timelines, NSWS has features of dashboards and alerts to Ministries and Departments for monitoring the processing of applications, thus increasing transparency and enabling timely action. ********
