Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the number of Employment Exchanges currently
operational in Maharashtra, particularly those located in Mumbai
along with the number of fully integrated with the National Career
Service (NCS) digital platform;
(b) the details of skill development, job fairs and career-counselling
programmes conducted through NCS in Maharashtra including
Mumbai along with the number of youth got benefited;
(c) whether the Government proposes to link the NCS platform with
the Maharashtra State Skill Development Mission to improve
coordination and outreach in Mumbai and if so, the details
thereof;
(d) whether any evaluation or performance audit of NCS
implementation district has been conducted in Maharashtra,
district-wise particularly in Mumbai and if so, the details thereof
along with the findings regarding technical gaps, placement
outcomes and employer participation; and
(e) the details of the corrective steps taken by the Government to
strengthen digital services, reduce platform downtime, and
improve real-time job matching in Mumbai?

(a) to (e) The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, is
running the National Career Service (NCS) Portal which is a one-stop
solution for providing career related services including jobs from private
and government sectors, information on online & offline job fairs, job
search & matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information
on skill development courses, skill/training programmes etc. through adigital platform [www.ncs.gov.in]. The NCS portal has already been
integrated with the state employment portal of Maharashtra and Skill
India Digital Hub (SIDH) Portal of Ministry of Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship.
As on 20.11.2025, there are 1008 Employment Exchanges in the
country out of which 51 Employment Exchanges are in Maharashtra
(including 4 in Mumbai), of which 26 Employment Exchanges that have
been upgraded as MCCs.
NCS Portal provides online/offline career counselling and
vocational guidance services to its registered users. More than 1182

effectiveness, and alignment with evolving priorities.

includes integration with various job/skill portals (public/private),
enhanced AI features, cloud based web applications (for jobseeker and
