Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the National Career Service (NCS) portal has achieved a
historic milestone by mobilizing over 3.43 crore vacancies in
Financial Year 2025-26, effectively becoming the nation's largest
digital employment exchange, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the successful integration of NCS with the "Skill India
Digital Hub" now allows for a seamless transition from "Skilling"
to "Placement" for job seekers and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the enhanced utilization of "Model Career Centres"
(MCCs) in rural districts to provide physical counselling and soft-
skills training to non-urban youth particularly in Maharashtra;
(d) the details of steps taken by the Government to onboard more
private sector employers and Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs) onto the portal to diversify the job roles
available beyond government vacancies; and
(e) the manner in which the said modernized employment
infrastructure bridges the "Information Asymmetry" in the job
market, democratizing access to opportunities for youth from Tier-
2 and Tier-3 cities?

(a) to (e): As on 28.02.2026, more than 3.66 crore vacancies have been
mobilized on NCS portal across the country in Financial Year 2025-26.NCS portal is integrated with Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) that is
specially designed and developed to skill, reskill and upskill individuals
through an online training platform for jobs and entrepreneurial
opportunities. The integration of NCS Portal with SIDH has paved the
way for the skilled jobseekers on SIDH to avail the benefits of NCS
Portal and the jobseekers to avail the skilling services offered by SIDH.
The NCS project also, inter alia, envisaged setting up of Model
Career Centres (MCCs) in the country including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to
deliver career related services such as organizing online/ offline job
fairs, mobilize the employers, provide online/ offline career counselling
at local level etc. in collaboration with State and other institutions to the
jobseekers (including youth) and employers through outreach activities.
Till date the Government has approved 407 Model Career Centres across
the country, of which 28 MCCs have been approved in the State of
Maharashtra (including rural districts).
Further, a module on NCS Portal facilitates the approved career
counsellors to provide career counselling and guidance services. As on
28.02.2026, more than 1180 career counsellors have onboarded on NCS
Portal and till date more than 55 Lakh online/ offline career guidance
sessions have been conducted nationwide (including Maharashtra).
Ministry has also signed several MoUs with the private and public
employers/ portals (including Udyam Portal of Ministry of
MSME)/platforms to strengthen public-private partnerships for enhancing
employment opportunities for all jobseekers. Till date more than 35
Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed including
MoUs with private partners such as APNA, Swiggy, Rapido, Zomato,
Amazon, TCS iON, Quikr, FoundIt (Monster) etc. offering facilities such
as job fairs listing, skill development programmes, career counselling
etc. available on the NCS Portal
In order to increase awareness and enhance reach of NCS portal
regular Social Media posts are released about the availability of services
and vacancies on NCS portal. NCS monthly e-newsletters are released to
create awareness about new development and activities of NCS.
Besides, the Model Career Centres established at the States/UTs
regularly conducts various outreach activities viz. workshops,
awareness/ orientation programmes for the stakeholders.
