Shri G M Harish Balayogi: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) the details of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalayas (NSCBAVs) and hostels that have been sanctioned and are currently operational in the country particularly in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (b) the details of sanctioned student strength, actual enrolment, and number of vacant teaching and non-teaching positions in each school and hostel, school and hostel- wise; (c) the number of dropouts from NSCBAVs in the country particularly in Andhra Pradesh, during the last five years and the details of reported reasons for such dropouts, district-wise; (d) the quantum of funds allocated, released and utilized for NSCBAVs and their hostels in the country particularly in Andhra Pradesh during the last five years, year and district-wise; (e) whether the Government has received any proposals from the State Governments for the establishment and upgradation of NSCBAVs and hostels in the States; and (f) if so, the details thereof and the current status of such proposals? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a): 1201 Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalayas (NSCBAVs) / Hostelshave been sanctioned in the country, out of which 1137 are operational. Details of NSCBAVs / Hostels sanctioned /operational in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise, as per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, are given in Annexure-I. (b): As per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, details of sanctioned student strength, actual enrolment and number of vacant teaching and non-teaching positions in each school and hostel, school and hostel wise, are given in Annexure-II. (c): As per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, there is no dropout from NSCBAVs in the State of Andhra Pradesh. (d): As per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, details of funds allocated, released and utilized for NSCBAVs / hostels in Andhra Pradesh during the last five years, year-wise and district-wise, are given in Annexure-III. (e) & (f): 37 proposals for establishment of NSCBAVs/Hostels and 30 proposals for upgradation of NSCBAVs /Hostels were received during 2025-26. These proposals were appraised as per the programmatic and financial norms of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Samagra Shiksha’.
