Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has any proposal to construct new AYUSH hospitals and
dispensaries under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise, especially in Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha
constituency of Maharashtra;
(c) whether a joint model has been developed in collaboration with the States in this regard;
and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d) Public health being a State subject, construction of new AYUSH hospitals and
dispensaries comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments. However, Ministry of
Ayush is implementing the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM)
through State/UT Governments including Maharashtra and having the provision of financial
assistance for setting up of 10/30/50 bedded Integrated Ayush Hospitals (IAHs) and construction
of building to establish a new Ayush dispensary. Under NAM, as per the proposals received from
States/UTs through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs), 203 IAHs and 384 new Ayush
dispensaries have been approved for establishment in different parts of the country from 2014-15
to 2024-25. The State/UT-wise status of approved IAHs and Ayush dispensaries including
Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha constituency of Maharashtra are enclosed as Annexure-I and
Annexure-II respectively.
Further, NAM is being implemented through States/UTs and funding pattern for the North
Eastern States and Himalayan States of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of
Jammu & Kashmir is Centre: 90% and State/UT: 10%, whereas for the rest of the States this ratio
is Centre: 60% and State: 40%, UTs with Legislature except J&K (Delhi and Puducherry) funding
ratio Centre: 60% and UT: 40% and 100% fund provided by Centre in all UTs without Legislature
1(Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Island
