**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1621, addressed on July 30, 2025, the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, and Prime Minister's Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, provided details regarding new technology at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS) in Gujarat. The Kakrapar site is the first to host indigenous 700 MW Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs), specifically KAPS 3 & 4. These reactors are equipped with advanced safety features. The Ministry of Power (MoP) has allocated approximately 34% of the power generated from KAPS 3 & 4 (2x700 MW) to the state of Gujarat, contributing to the state's power supply. The response indicates that the new technology at KAPS has improved power supply in Gujarat. The specific benefits to remote districts like Dahod were not detailed beyond the overall contribution to Gujarat's power grid.
