(b) whether the funds have been released for these roads and if so,
the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the roads in Jakhu, Arnia, Majua, Nandpur, Ala, Dumlad
etc. in Jammu and Kashmir have been covered under the Central
Road Fund, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the time by which the said roads are likely to be covered

(a) The Government in Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
allocates funds to the State Governments/Union Territories (UTs) for
development and maintenance of State Roads under the Central
Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) Scheme as per the provisions
of the amended CRIF Act, 2000. Total 100 projects, with anapproved cost of Rs.1957.03 crore under the CRIF, are currently
ongoing in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The district-wise details
of ongoing road works approved under the CRIF are enclosed as
Annexure.
(b) Funds amounting to ₹2827.94 crore have been released under
CRIF for roads and ₹50.62 crore for bridges (Setu Bandhan) in the
UT of Jammu and Kashmir upto FY 2024-25.
(c) to (d) The proposals under CRIF are finalised based on the
priority list of works received from State/UT Government,
outstanding liabilities of already committed/ finalised projects on
State/UT roads under the scheme, available unspent balance of
previous years accruals and annual level of accrual of funds under
the scheme for State roads. In so far, the sanctioned projects are
concerned, the roads in Jakhu, Arnia, Majua, Nandpur, Ala, and
