(a) the number of National Highways (NHs) currently in Rajasthan
including their present status of utilisation;
(b) whether the Government has granted any in-principle approval for
construction of new NHs in Rajasthan in the last ten years and if so, the
details thereof regarding the number and present status of proposed/
approved NH projects therein including their total length, estimated
expenditure and the expected timeline of commencement/completion,
district-wise;
(c) whether any proposals for new NHs in Rajasthan, particularly in the
Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha Constituency have been approved under
process or pending during the last ten years and if so, the details
thereof; and
(d) if not, whether there is any plan to bring such proposals in future, if
so, the details thereof including their timelines?

(a) to (d) There are total 53 National Highways (NHs) covering a total
length of 10,733 km in the State of Rajasthan. This includes 2,959 km
length of new NHs declared in the last 10 years in the State of Rajasthan
including the Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha Constituency.Total 48 projects costing Rs. 35,638 crores have been sanctioned
by the Government for improvement and development of new NHs in
Rajasthan including the projects in the Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha
Constituency during the last ten years. Out of these sanctioned 48
projects, 44 projects costing Rs. 33,027 crores are completed and the
remaining 4 projects costing Rs. 2,611 crores are under different stages
of implementation with target date of completion in the Year 2028.
Government has incurred an expenditure of Rs. 67,361 crores in the
last ten years including current year for improvement and development
of all NHs in Rajasthan including new NHs.
