APARAJITA SARANGI: SHRI SUNIL KUMAR: SHRI DILESHWAR KAMAIT: Will the Minister of TOURISM be pleased to state: (a) the details of the number of hospitality and tourism service providers registered under the National Integrated Database of Hospitality Industry (NIDHI+) Plus platform during the last three years and the current year, year and category-wise; (b) the details of steps taken by the Government to ensure compliance, data verification and integration with State tourism databases; (c) whether registration under the said platform has been linked with incentives, classification or recognition schemes; and (d) whether the Government has undertaken any assessment regarding improved transparency and ease of doing business and if so, the details thereof along with its implementation status in West Champaran? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF TOURISM (SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH SHEKHAWAT) (a): The registration data under the National Integrated Database of Hospitality Industry (NIDHI+) Plus platform from 2023 to 2026 is as follows: 2026 (as on Category 2023 2024 2025 Total 19.03.2026) Accommodation Unit 4196 3886 3161 424 11667 Tourism Service Provider 2913 2314 2214 281 7722 Grand Total 7109 6200 5375 705 19389(b): In order to ensure compliance, data verification, and integration with State Tourism Databases, the platform incorporates multiple levels of digital verification, including email OTP authentication, SMS OTP authentication, PAN verification and FSSAI verification (where applicable). The State Nodal Officers, nominated from the respective Tourism Departments of States/UTs verifies the authenticity of the registering units, upon which the unit receives a unique NIDHI ID. (c) & (d): The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, under its voluntary scheme of classification/ approval, classifies accommodation units and tourism service providers on the basis of the quality of facilities and services provided by them. With a view to bring in more transparency, accountability and improved service delivery, including in West Champaran, the Ministry of Tourism introduced an online system of receiving, processing and conveying/ granting approvals for classification of accommodation units and recognition of Tourism Service Providers. Applications can be filed at the portal of National Integrated Database of Hospitality Industry (NIDHI+), i.e. nidhi.tourism.gov.in. This online process has also been integrated with payment gateway. *******
