The Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development (Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar) replied that according to the Registrar General of India, there are 9 villages named 'Mansar' across 6 states/union territory (Bihar-1, Gujarat-2, Himachal Pradesh-1, Jammu and Kashmir-1, Maharashtra-1, and Rajasthan-3), and 4G mobile coverage is available in all 9 of these villages.
Therefore, questions (b) to (d) are not applicable.

Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state:
(a) whether as per the directions of the Department of Telecommunications, a survey was
conducted in Mansar village and it was found that there is no mobile signal coverage in the said
village and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether mobile towers are likely to be installed using DBN fund under the 4G Saturation
Project to provide 4G coverage in villages which are depriving of 4G connectivity and if so, the
details thereof;
(c) whether there is any proposal to include Mansar village under the 4G Saturation Project and
whether installation work is likely to be commenced only after getting due approval from
DoT/USOF; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) As per data from the Registrar General of India available with the department, 9 villages with
name ‘Mansar’ are found in the list of villages across 6 states/union territory viz. Bihar-1, Gujarat-2,
Himachal Pradesh-1, Jammu and Kashmir-1, Maharashtra-1, and Rajasthan-3. 4G mobile coverage
is available in all these 9 villages.
(b) to (d) Does not arise, in view of (a) above.
