Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is a fact that the Government nominates persons to become
permanent members of the Delhi Golf Club as per the Memorandum of
Association/Articles of Association under the “Out of Turn” category;
(b) the names of the persons and nominated since 2007 till date along with
their status, year-wise;
(c) the criteria and process as per Confirmation and Amendment Deed to
nominate permanent members “Out of Turn” category along with the
details of the relevant clause and classifications; and
(d) whether any advertisement was issued as per the Confirmation and
Amendment Deed for the nomination of “Out of Turn” members of Delhi

(a)to(d): The Delhi Golf Club was established as a municipal course in the
early 1930s and was earlier known as Lodhi Golf Club. The Delhi Golf Club
is registered as a company under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.
The Delhi Golf Club manages its own affairs as per its Memorandum of
Association/ Articles of Association etc. and also grants memberships
under the same.
