Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFARE be pleased tostate:
(a)whether it isa factthat the Government hasnot beenissuing printedCGHS plastic cardtothe Central Government serving employees, pensioners and their dependents during the last fifteen months and is advising beneficiaries to take printout from the site/internet due to which all the CGHS beneficiaries are facing some practical difficulties while going for medical treatment in CGHS approvedhospitals/laboratories etc.;
(b) if so, the detailsthereofalong with the reasons therefor;
(c)whether the Government islikely totake necessary actions toprint CGHS plastic cardsfor all pendingrequests of CGHS beneficiaries andexpeditetheirissuance at the earliest;
(d) if so, the detailsthereof; and
(e)if not,the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a)to(e): To facilitate ease of access anduninterrupted availment of CGHS services, CGHS cards are available in digital form on Digilocker platform, MyCGHS 2.0 mobile application and CGHS website, which are valid and accepted at all CGHS Wellness Centres and CGHS- empanelled hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. For the convenience of beneficiaries, FAQs have also been updated and made available on the CGHS website and MyCGHS 2.0 mobile application.
A total of 2,07,182 fresh CGHS cards and 1,37,127 renewed CGHS cards have been generated, since April, 2025. Printing of CGHS plastic cards are undertaken under revised arrangements. With a view to reducing turnaround time, card printing have been decentralised and necessary software changes have been implemented, enabling CGHS Card Offices to print cards either through outsourced service providers or by using in-house card printing machines, wherever available. CGHS plastic Cards up to the month of August 2025 has been printed and sent toWellnessCentersfor distribution.
