Will the Minister of Women and Child Development be pleased to state:
(a) the number of One Stop Centres (OSCs) set up/operationalised in the country, State-
wise including Gujarat;
(b) whether the Government is working towards setting up OSCs in each district and if
so, the details thereof;
(c) the number of women in distress who have been benefitted by these centres along
with the details of services provided therein;
(d) whether the Government has reviewed the functioning of these centres and if so,
the details thereof;
(e) whether the Government proposes to provide the access of OSCs to rural and tribal
areas in future and if so, the details thereof; and
(f) whether the Government has implemented OSCs to provide support/assistance
under one roof to women affected by violence, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (f): One Stop Centre (OSC) is a component of the Sambal vertical under the umbrella
Mission Shakti. It provides integrated support and assistance under one roof to women
affected by violence and those in distress, both in private and public spaces. It provides
services like medical aid, legal aid and advice, temporary shelter, police assistance and
psycho-social counselling to needy women including rural and tribal areas. As on date, out
of approved 975 One Stop Centres (OSCs) in each districts across the country including
Gujarat, 843 OSCs are operational and over 11.94 lakh women have been assisted since
inception, i.e. 1st April, 2015 up to 30th June, 2025. The State-wise number of OSCs
approved, operationalized and women assisted in the country including Gujarat is at
Annexure.
The implementation of scheme lies with the State Governments/UT Administrations.
Further, once in a year, the Programme Approval Board monitors with States/UTs, the
progress of activities under the scheme and reviews status of achievement of objectives.Apart from this, officials of the Ministry continuously review the scheme through meetings,
video conferencing and by making field visits to States/UTs from time to time.
