Shri Bajrang Manohar Sonwane: Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has received a proposal for organising a distribution camp in Beed District, Maharashtra, under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme and the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) for free distribution of aids and assistive devices to eligible Divyangjans and Senior Citizens; (b) if so, the present status of the proposal and the reasons for the delay, if any, in organising the distribution camp; (c) whether assessment camps were conducted in all eleven talukas of Beed District and if so, the number of beneficiaries identified under both the schemes along with the estimated value of aids and assistive devices; (d) whether the Government proposes to accord administrative approval and organise the distribution camp at the earliest; and (e) the timeline fixed for distribution of aids and assistive devices to all eligible beneficiaries under the ADIP and RVY Schemes in Beed District? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (SHRI B. L. VERMA) (a) and (b) No proposal for organising a camp in Beed District, Maharashtra has been received from any Implementing Agency under the Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) Scheme. However, a request from Shri Bajrang Manohar Sonwane, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) has been received for organisinga Camp in Beed District, Maharashtra under the ADIP Scheme and the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY). (c) Assessment camps under the ADIP Scheme and RVY were conducted by Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) across all eleven talukas of Beed District, Maharashtra. Based on the assessments conducted, 1816 eligible beneficiaries were identified under the ADIP Scheme and 1419 eligible beneficiaries under the RVY, involving an estimated cost of ₹188.09 lakh and ₹117.43 lakh, respectively. (d) and (e) ALIMCO has requested the District Magistrate, Beed, to confirm the necessary local arrangements and coordination for organising the distribution camp. *****
