Outstanding Union Government Debt
* 190 Shri P. Wilson:
Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the total outstanding debt of the Union Government since 2023, year-wise;
(b) the details of GST, direct taxes, indirect taxes and other tax revenues received from each State
during the last three years, State-wise and year-wise; and
(c) the details of funds devolved/allocated to each State out of the share of Central taxes during the
last three years, State-wise and year-wise?

(a): The outstanding debt on the Union Government since FY 2022-23 is at table-1.

Note:
(1) Direct tax data is as per time series data published on the official website of Income-tax Department and
for 2024-25, figures are provisional.
(2) The data pertains to Gross GST collection on domestic supplies, not including IGST paid on imports.
However, the data excludes collections made under SGST. It is to also mention that IGST collections have
been included, but 50% of the same goes to States after settlement. GST Cess collections are also included
but the same is used to compensate the States.
(c): The details of funds devolved/allocated to each State out of the share of Central taxes during
