Shri Arvind Ganpat Sawant: Shri Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh: Shri Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav: Will the Minister of Cooperation (सहकारिता मंत्री) be pleased to state: (a) whether it is true that the Government has decided to establish two lakh PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies in every Panchayat/village; (b) if so, the details thereof including percent the current status of implementation of the said plan particularly in Maharashtra; (c) the number of cooperative societies out of the proposed two lakh societies likely to be established in Maharashtra district-wise and including Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha Constituency; (d) the timeline for completion of the project and the total allocation made for the project during the last five years; (e) the status of the implementation of the said scheme in the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency; and (f) the number of cooperative societies likely to be set up in the Parbhani Parliamentary Constituency of Maharashtra out of the said two lakh societies and the time by which this project is likely to be completed? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF COOPERATION सहकारिता मंत्री (SHRI AMIT SHAH) (a) to (f): The Government on 15.02.2023, approved the Plan for strengthening cooperative movement in the country and deepening its reach up to the grassroots. The Plan entails establishment of 2 lakh new multipurpose PACS (M-PACS), Dairy, Fishery Cooperative Societies covering all the Panchayats/ villages in the country over a period of five years, through convergence of various existing GOI schemes, including Dairy Infrastructure Development Fund (DIDF), National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), PM Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), etc, with the support of National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) and State Governments. As per the National Cooperative Database (NCD), since the approval of the plan on 15.02.2023, a total of 32,802 new PACS, Dairy and Fishery Cooperative Societies have been registeredacross the country as on 20.01.2026, including the State of Maharashtra. The details are enclosed at Annexure-I. In the State of Maharashtra including Yavatmal, Washim and Parbhani districts, a total of 9,527 M-PACS/ Dairy/ Fishery Cooperative Societies is to be formed/ strengthened over a period of five years. As per information provided by the State Government, the district-wise cooperative societies likely to be established in FY 2025-26 is enclosed at Annexure-II. Further, as per the information provided by the State, a total of 75 new M-PACS are to be formed in Yavatmal-Washim constituency.
