Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:-
(a) whether Government has received proposals from Government of Telangana for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, including a request for Union Cabinet approval and Central funding amounting to โน34,367.62 croreอพ
(b) whether proposals seeking sanction of โน45,000 crore for ten greenfield radial roads connecting the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the RRR have been submitted to the Ministry and the stage at which these proposals are currently pendingอพ and
(c) whether the Ministry has received a proposal for approval and funding of approximately โน17,000 crore for the Bandar PortโDry Port greenfield highway and the reasons for non- approval, so far? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)
(a) For the development of the Regional Ring Road of Hyderabad, the work of consultancy services for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been awarded. The DPR of the Northern part of the Regional Ring Road has been finalised.
(b) The development of Highways infrastructure is a continuous process. For development of State roads, financial assistance is provided under Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) subject to accrual as per applicable guidelines thereon. The accrual under CRIF for the current Financial Year for the State of Telangana is Rs. 367.17 crore out of which Rs 344.49 crore has already been released.
(c) The work of preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for upgradation of existing 4- lane Hyderabad-Vijaywada-Machilipatanam section of NH-65 to 6-lane Access Controlled Corridor has been taken up. A project for 6-lane connectivity of Machilipatanarn Port to Machilipatanam has been sanctioned in January, 2026. This corridor would provide seamless high speed connectivity between Hyderabad-Vijayawada/Amaravathi and Machilipatanam Port.
