Parliament Question: Performance of NCS Portal

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 4959 TO BE ANSWERED ON 23RD MARCH, 2026 PERFORMANCE OF NCS PORTAL 4959. SHRI KAMAKHYA PRASAD TASA: Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state: (a) the details of job seekers shortlisted through the National Career Service (NCS) Portal since its inception in the country, gender and State/UT-wise; (b) the details of Online and Offline job fairs organised through the said Portal in the country; (c) the details of overall placement rate achieved and the total number of candidates placed through the said job fairs since its inception in the country, gender and State/UT-wise; (d) the details of total number of vacancies mobilized through the NCS portal during the said period in the country, gender, State/UT and functional area-wise; (e) the details of steps taken/being taken by the Government to promote the adoption of the NCS Portal at the State level; and (f) whether all the employment exchanges/State Career Services have been digitized and integrated with the NCS Portal in the country and if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) to (f): The National Career Service (NCS) Portal is a one-stop solution for providing career related services including jobs from private and government sectors, information on online & offline job fairs, job search & matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, skill/training programmes etc. through a digital platform [www.ncs.gov.in] to all stakeholders across the country. Notifying final hiring figures is not a mandatory requirement on NCS Portal. However, as on 28.02.2026, more than 2.25 crore jobseekers have been shortlisted through NCS Portal since inception. Gender and State/UT-wise details of shortlisted jobseekers may be seen at Annexure-I.Since inception more than 65,000 job fairs (Online/Offline) have been organized through NCS Portal across the country and more than 8.94 crore vacancies have been mobilized on NCS portal. State/UT-wise and sector-wise details of vacancy mobilized on NCS Portal may be seen at https://www.ncs.gov.in/_layouts/15/ncsp/ViewStaticReport.aspx.
