Parliament Question: PM Vishwakarma in Andhra Pradesh

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 693 TO BE ANSWERED ON 23.07.2026 PM VISHWAKARMA IN ANDHRA PRADESH 693. SHRI MADDILA GURUMOORTHY: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of artisans and craftspersons from Andhra Pradesh registered and provided training, toolkit support and credit linkage under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, district-wise; (b) the number of Skill India Centres and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras sanctioned and operational in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (c) whether the Government proposes to establish dedicated PM Vishwakarma clusters in artisan-rich districts of Andhra Pradesh such as Kakinada, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram and if so, the details thereof; and (d) the details of funds released to Andhra Pradesh under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme during 2024-25 and 2025-26, year-wise, along with the number of beneficiaries covered thereunder? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): The district-wise number of artisans and craftspersons from Andhra Pradesh registered and provided training, toolkit support and credit linkage under the PM Vishwakarma is at Annexure- I. (b): As per the information received from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), there is no category of training centres defined as "Skill India Centres" under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. Training under the scheme is imparted through already established training centers, including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs) and other empaneled training centres, by leveraging their existing infrastructure and facilities and only the training fee is reimbursed accordingly. The total number of training centres in Andhra Pradesh since the inception of the scheme are 380, comprising 267 PMKKs and 113 other Training Centres. Currently, 101 Training Centres are active, comprising 3 PMKKs and 98 other Training Centres. The Details are at Annexure-II. (c): As on date, there is no such proposal.
