PM VISHWAKARMA SCHEME IN KARNATAKA
3117. SHRI E TUKARAM:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has reviewed the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme
in the State of Karnataka and if so, the details and the outcomes thereof;
(b) the details of applications received, beneficiaries approved, skill training completed, toolkit
incentives released and loans sanctioned and disbursed under the scheme in Karnataka since its
launch, including the district falling under the Ballari Lok Sabha Constituency, district-wise;
(c) whether any delays have been reported in the processing of applications, completion of skill
training, release of toolkit incentives or sanction and disbursement of loans under the scheme in
Karnataka, particularly in the Ballari Lok Sabha Constituency and if so, the details thereof and the
reasons therefor; and
(d) the measures taken by the Government to ensure timely coverage of all eligible traditional
artisans under the scheme in Karnataka, particularly in Ballari Lok Sabha Constituency and the
timeline fixed for extending the benefits to all eligible beneficiaries?

(a) and (b): PM Vishwakarma scheme is a central sector scheme to provide holistic support to
traditional artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades. The Scheme is reviewed, including for
Karnataka, at various levels at the Central and State level by committees constituted as per scheme
guidelines. The details of applications received, beneficiaries registered, skill training completed,
toolkit delivered, loans sanctioned and disbursed under the PM Vishwakarma scheme in Karnataka
since its launch, including the districts falling under the Ballari Lok Sabha Constituency is at
Annexure-I.
(c) and (d): PM Vishwakarma was launched on 17.09.2023 with aim to cover 30 lakh beneficiaries
in five years. Already 30 lakh artisans and craftspeople across India, including Karnataka, have been
successfully registered under PMV. It is a demand driven scheme and benefits are provided to eligible
artisans and craftspeople as per scheme guidelines.
