The State/U.T.-wise total number of artisans provided with the first instalment of collateral-free loan under the Scheme as of February, 2026 is at Annexure-I.
The Scheme covers 18 trades, namely: Carpenter, Boat Maker, Armourer, Metal Artisan, Tool Kit Maker, Locksmith, Goldsmith, Potter, Sculptor/Stone Worker, Cobbler/Footwear Artisan, Mason, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker, Toy Maker (Traditional), Barber, Garland Maker, Washerman, Tailor and Fishing Net Maker.
Successfully registered artisans, after three levels of verification, become eligible to avail benefits under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, including skill upgradation, credit support, modern toolkits, digital incentives and marketing assistance. Skill upgradation enhances their capabilities by introducing modern tools, best practices, innovative designs and entrepreneurial and marketing knowledge. Beneficiaries are also onboarded onto the Udyam Assist Platform, enabling access to benefits under various Government schemes, including priority sector lending, thereby facilitating business expansion, modernization and formalization into entrepreneurship, contributing to nation building.
The concurrent evaluation study of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme has been initiated and is currently being conducted by IIM, Mumbai. ****Annexure-I Annexure-I referred to in reply to part (a) to (c) of the Lok Sabha unstarred question no. 6413 for answer on 02.04.2026 State/U.T.wise number of artisans provided with the first instalment of collateral-free loan under the PM Vishwakarma scheme as of February 2026.
