Parliament Question: PNG and CGD Network in Ratlam-Jhabua-Alirajpur

ANITA NAGARSINGH CHOUHAN: पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ी Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state: (a) whether any scheme has been formulated by the Government to provide Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to domestic and commercial consumers and to expand the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in Jhabua and Alirajpur districts under Parliamentary Constituency No. 24 (Ratlam-Jhabua-Alirajpur), Madhya Pradesh; (b) if so, the names of the towns, cities and rural areas of the said Parliamentary Constituency included under the scheme along with the current progress of the project, district-wise; (c) the tentative timeline for laying gas pipelines, developing the necessary infrastructure and providing PNG connections to eligible consumers; and (d) whether any part of the said Parliamentary Constituency has not been included under the scheme so far, if so, the reasons therefor and the action being taken by the Government to include it under the said scheme at the earliest? ANSWER पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ालय म(cid:336) रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी ((cid:373)ी सुरेश गोपी) MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS (SHRI SURESH GOPI) (a) to (d) Providing Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections and establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations is part of the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) Network, which inter alia include creation of pipeline infrastructure and other facilities for the supply of PNG to domestic, commercial and industrial units and CNG to transport sector which is being carried out by the entities authorized by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). Jhabua District is a part of Jhabua, Banswara, Ratlam and Dungarpur Districts GA authorized to Gujarat Gas Limited. Alirajpur District is a part of Alirajpur, Nandurbar and Barwani districts GA authorized to Adani Total Gas Limited. CGD infrastructure rollout is undertaken by the authorized entities in accordance with the authorization granted by PNGRB and the approved project plan.
