Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the importance and significance of connecting the police stations of
the country through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and
Systems (CCTNS);
(b) the number of police stations of the country, which are connected with
CCTNS at present; and
(c) the number of those police stations out of the police stations
connected with CCTNS which are actively using CCTNS at present?

(a): Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) facilitates
collection, updation and analysis of data related to crime and criminals in
near real time basis. It facilitates various benefits to State Police, Central
Law Enforcement Organizations and citizens of India, as per details given

Benefits to Police and Central Agencies:
