ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD
DEVELOPMENT
(SHRIMATI SAVITRI THAKUR)
(a) to (d): Under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, the ‘Poshan Tracker’ digital
application has been rolled out as an ICT based governance tool for monitoring and tracking of all
beneficiaries on various indicators. The number of children, pregnant women and lactating women
registered in all the States and UTs including Chhattisgarh is available at Poshan Tracker public
dashboard: https://www.poshantracker.in/statistics.
To address network-related issues, such as low or no internet connectivity, the Poshan Tracker
application provides offline functionality for conducting e-KYC and face matching under theFacial Recognition System (FRS) for the distribution of Take-Home Ration (THR). OTP for e-
KYC and Aadhar face matching has to be taken ONCE in entire life cycle of the beneficiary. It
creates ease of living for the beneficiaries to avail the Anganwadi services even when network or
server issues are present.
For further ease of receiving benefits of THR, Nominee Module has been introduced in the
application for Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers, and Adolescent Girls. If due to any reason,
the registered beneficiary is unable to visit the Anganwadi Centre to receive THR through FRS,
she can nominate a person on her behalf to receive her THR.
As per Poshan Tracker data, e-KYC and face matching of the beneficiaries for THR distribution
in the country has substantially increased in past one year from 70.82% in July 2025 to 97.87% in
June 2026. State and UT wise details of e-KYC and Face matching (as of June 2026) is placed at
Annexure I.
Poshan Tracker application has been specifically designed to allow data entry in offline mode and
the data can get synced within 5 days of entry. The frontline functionaries i.e. Anganwadi Workers,
Block Coordinators and Supervisors are equipped with smartphones to enter the data of services
at Anganwadi Centres and programme monitoring in the field.
To address technical issues, Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD) provides
continuous training and handholding support to Anganwadi Workers for effective use of the
Poshan Tracker application through the following mechanisms:
• Learning Videos and awareness documents: In the Resource section of the Poshan Tracker
application, learning videos and awareness documents are available for Anganwadi
Workers which can be accessed by them at any point of time for effective delivery of their
routine tasks.
• Under the Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi (PBPB) initiative, the MoWCD is imparting training to
all the officials and field functionaries in the States and UTs through a cascading model of
training, wherein Master Trainers (District Officers, Block Coordinators and Supervisors)
are trained and the master trainers further train all Anganwadi Workers in the field.
Training is imparted on different modules of Poshan Tracker, viz. Facial Recognition
System (FRS), Geo-Tagging, Home Visit Scheduler etc. Block and District coordinators
provide on-ground handholding support to AWWs and supervisors for effective usage of
the Poshan Tracker Application and resolution of technical glitches.
• Daily Virtual Classroom Sessions: Digital India Corporation (DIC) organises virtual
classroom sessions every day (Monday to Friday) from 3 pm to 4 pm, in which Anganwadi
Workers may join to raise operational queries and receive real-time clarifications on use ofthe application. Further, training sessions from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM for State officials
(supervisor and above level) are organized to resolve implementation-related issues,
disseminate updates, and provide training on newly introduced functionalities and
enhancements in the Poshan Tracker application.
