Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state: the details of the number of IAS, IPS & IRS officers who have service extension after their retirement during the last five years, post, year and person-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE (DR. JITENDRA SINGH) Extension of service after retirement, is given in exceptional circumstances, in public interest to officers belonging to All India Services in accordance with provisions contained in All India Service (Death Cum Retirement Benefit) Rules, 1958 / relevant rules.
