PRIME MINISTER’S INTERNSHIP SCHEME IN GUJARAT
QUESTION
2588. Shri Rajesh Naranbhai Chudasma
Will the Minister of CORPORATE AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the number of youths in the State of Gujarat who have completed
their profiles on the PMIS portal so far under the Prime Minister Internship
Scheme (PMIS), district-wise;
(b) whether the Central Government is taking any special initiative to increase
the internship opportunities under the PMIS scheme in the State of Gujarat;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the time by which final decision in this regard is likely to be taken?

(a): District wise details of candidates from Gujarat who have completed their
profiles on the PMIS Portal is placed at Annexure.
(b) to (d): No special initiative is taken for any specific state. However, the Ministry
of Corporate Affairs is working with various stakeholders such as state
governments, industries and industry associations to increase the internship
opportunities and for promotion and implementation of the scheme, in the
country including Gujarat. The participation of companies in PMIS is voluntary
and companies are posting internship opportunities based on their
requirement.
