SHRI ARVIND GANPAT SAWANT: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government plans privatisation in Railways, if so, the details thereof; (b) the details of the services of Railways identified for privatisation; and (c) the manner in which revenue, the Government will earn from such privatisation? ANSWER MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, INFORMATION & BROADCASTING AND ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW) (a) to (c): Indian Railways is wholly owned by Government of India. All zonal railways, Production units, workshops etc. are integral part of Indian railways.
