RAHIM: Will the Minister of POWER be pleased to state: (a) the total domestic production of electricity in the country during the last five years, State-wise and year-wise; (b) the State-wise break-up of electricity generated from non-renewable energy sources, including coal, lignite, gas, and diesel, during the same period; (c) the State-wise details of electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass during the last five years; and (d) the funds allocated and released by the Central Government to each State for increasing electricity generation from renewable energy sources during the last five years, year-wise and State- wise? A N S W E R THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD NAIK) (a): Present installed generation capacity of the country is 520.511 GW. The state-wise domestic production of electricity in the country and import of electricity from Bhutan during last five financial years and current financial year (upto January, 2026) is as given at Annexure-I. (b) & (c): The State-wise break-up of electricity generated from non-renewable energy sources, including coal, lignite, gas and diesel, during last five financial years and current financial year (upto January, 2026) is given at Annexure - II. The State-wise details of electricity generated from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro and biomass during last five years and current year (upto January, 2026) is given at Annexure – III (d): The state-wise fund released under major schemes/ funds for increasing electricity generation from renewable energy sources during last five financial year is given at Annexure-IV.
