Will the Minister of HEALTHAND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleased tostate:
(a) whether the Government has assessed the progress of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the Dewas Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh including the number of eligible beneficiaries, Ayushman Cards issued and cashless hospital admissions during the last three years, if so, the detailsthereof;
(b) the steps taken by the Government to strengthen healthcare delivery in the Constituency through the operationalisation and upgradation of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs including the availabilityof doctors, diagnostic facilitiesandessential medicines;
(c) the progress made in implementing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in the Constituency including the number of Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) created, integration with hospitals and health facilities and measures taken by the Government to improve digitalhealth services inrural areas; and
(d) whether the Government has assessed the impact of these initiatives in reducing out-of- pocket healthcare expenditure and advancing Universal Health Coverage in the Dewas Parliamentary Constituency andif so, the detailsthereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATEIN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE
(SHRIPRATAPRAOJADHAV)
(a): National Health Authority regularly conducts review meetings with State Health Agencies to monitor the implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), review key performance indicators, identify implementation challenges,andensure effective implementation of the scheme.
The constituency-wise data is not captured under AB-PMJAY, however, the details of the progress of the scheme in the districts covered under the Dewas Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency during the last three years(FY2023-24 toFY2025-26) are asunder:District No. of Ayushman cardscreatedto No. of hospital admissions eligible beneficiaries (inlakh) (inlakh) Sehore 2.39 1.39 Agar Malwa 0.50 0.34 Shajapur 1.16 0.73 Dewas 1.48 1.17
(b): Through 1.86 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the country, including 265 AAMs in Dewas district, comprehensive primary healthcare is provided by strengthening Sub Health Centres (SHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). These AAMs provide preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and curative care for an expanded range of services encompassing reproductive and child healthcare services, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases andotherhealthissues.
The AAMs incrementally provide 12 package of primary health care services across the country, encompassing reproductive and child care services, communicable diseases, non- communicable diseases, palliative care and elderly care, care for common mental disorders, neurological conditions (epilepsy, dementia) and substance use disorders management (tobacco, alcohol, drugs), oral health, ENT care, and basic emergency care. Government of India also initiated Ayushman Arogya Shivir, a monthly fixed day outreach programme to createawareness amongpeople at bothSHCsandPHCs.
(c): The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was launched by the Government of India in September 2021 to support the development of an integrated, citizen-centric national digital health ecosystem. While creating Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs and Health Facility Registry (HFR) records, only district-level details are captured. The progress of variousindicatorsunderABDM for the Sehore,Agar Malwa, ShajapurandDewas districts under the Dewas Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh as on 20.07.2026 are as

It aidsavailability of health care services particularly in remote and rural areas through various technology interventionslike telemedicine, etc.(d): As on 20.07.2026, a total of 6.05 lakh hospital admissions, amounting to Rs.1,157.28 crore, have been authorized under AB-PMJAY in the four districts under the Dewas Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency i.e, Sehore. Agar Malwa, Shajapur, and Dewas, thereby providingcashless treatment toeligible beneficiaries.
By providing eligible beneficiary families with cashless access to secondary and tertiary healthcare services at empanelled hospitals, the scheme has significantly reduced the financial burden associated with hospitalization and provided protection against catastrophic healthexpenditure.
