ANSWER MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, INFORMATION & BROADCASTING AND ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW) (a) to (f) Ministry of Railways has launched Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for redevelopment of stations with a long-term approach. So far, 1,337 stations have been identified for development under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Development works at railway stations under Amrit Bharat §Station Scheme have been taken up at a good pace. Till now, works have been completed at 180 stations. The works of platform surfacing and Foot Over Bridge ramp have been taken up.  Bano station: The works of improvement of station building, circulating area, approach road, station lighting and Divyangjan ramp have been completed. The works of platform shelter, platform surfacing, drinking water booth and Divyangjan toilet have been taken up.  Gangaghat station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, circulating area, parking and approach road have been completed. The works of Foot Over Bridge ramp and Divyangjan facilities have been taken up.  Orga station: The works of improvement of station building, platform shelter, platform surfacing, circulating area, approach road, station lighting and Divyangjan toilet have been completed. The work of Divyangjan parking has been taken up.  Tatisilwai station: The works of improvement of station building, entrance porch, platform shelter, waiting hall, circulating area, approach road and signage have been completed. The work of Foot Over Bridge ramp has been taken up. Andhra Pradesh:  Tirupati station: The structural framework of new second entry station building on South side, 2 nos. air concourses and sewage treatment plant have been completed. The finishing works of new second entry station building on South side and air concourses, structural work of station building on North side, platform shelter, lift, escalator etc. have been taken up. § Nellore station: The structural framework, brickwork and plastering of station building on both East and West sides have been completed. The finishing works of station building on both East and West side and air concourse, extension work of subway, parking, water tanks and sewage treatment plant have been taken up.  Samalkot station: The works of improvement of platform surfacing at platform no. 1 and platform shelter at platform no. 2/3 have been completed. The works of improvement of existing station building elevation, entrance porch, AC waiting hall, new toilet block, circulating area, parking, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.  Singaraykonda station: The works of platform surfacing, platform shelter, waiting hall, modular toilet, improvement of existing booking office have been completed. The works of improvement of existing station building, circulating area, parking, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up.  Ongole station: The works of platform shelter and improvement of platform surfacing have been completed. The works of waiting hall, toilet, circulating area, parking and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Telangana:  Hi-Tech City station: The works of platform shelter, waiting hall, modular toilet, booking counter, lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The works of new station building, new entrance porch, platform surfacing and circulating area, parking are in progress.  Kazipet Junction station: The works of platform shelter, improvement of general waiting hall, toilet, lift, escalator and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been completed. The works of improvement of station building, new porch, improvement of platform surface, AC waiting hall, circulating area and parking have been taken up.  Madhira station: The works of portico, platform shelter, platform surfacing, improvement of waiting hall, improvement of toilet, parking have been completed. The works of circulating area and 12 m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. § Mahbubabad station: The works of improvement of station building, portico, platform shelter at platform no.1, improvement of existing general waiting hall, improvement of AC waiting hall and toilet have been completed. The works of platform shelter at platform no. 2/3, platform surfacing, circulating area, parking, lift and 12 m Foot Over Bridge are in progress.  Nalgonda station: The works of platform shelter, improvement of waiting hall, toilet block, lift of existing Foot Over Bridge, circulating area and parking have been completed. The works of improvement of station building, new entrance porch, entry/exit gate, signages and 12m Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Further, development / redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of stations on Indian Railways is a continuous and ongoing process and works in this regard are undertaken as per requirement, subject to inter-se priority and availability of funds. The master planning includes:  Improvement of access to station and circulating areas  Integration of station with both sides of city  Improvement of station building § Improvement of waiting halls, toilets, sitting arrangement, water booths  Provision of wider foot over bridge/air concourse commensurate with passenger traffic  Provision of lift/escalators/ramp  Improvement /Provision of platform surface and cover over platforms  Provision of kiosks for local products through schemes like ‘One Station One Product’  Parking areas, Multimodal integration  Amenities for Divyangjans  Better passenger information systems  Provision of executive lounges, nominated spaces for business meetings, landscaping, etc. keeping in view the necessity at each station. The scheme also envisages sustainable and environment friendly solutions, provision of ballastless tracks etc. as per necessity, phasing and feasibility and creation of city centre at the station in the long term. Development / Upgradation of railway stations is complex in nature involving safety of passengers & trains and requires various statutory clearances such as fire clearance, heritage, tree cutting, airport clearance etc. The progress also gets affected due to brownfield related challenges such as shifting of utilities (involving water/sewage lines, optical fibre cables, gas pipe lines, power/signal cables, etc.), infringements, operation of trains without hindering passenger movement, speed restrictions due to works carried out in close proximity of tracks and high voltage power lines, etc. and these factors affect the completion time. Development / upgradation / modernisation of stations including under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is generally funded under Plan Head-53 ‘Customer Amenities’. The details of allocation and expenditure under Plan Head-53 are maintained Zonal Railway-wise and not work-wise, or station-wise or state-wise. Jharkhand is covered under the jurisdiction of three railway zones, namely Eastern Railway, East Central Railway and South Eastern Railway. For these zones, an allocation of ₹ 1,469 crore has been made for the financial year 2025–26, out of which an expenditure (up to January, 2026) of ₹ 1,292 crore has been incurred so far. Andhra Pradesh is covered under the jurisdiction of four railway zones, namely East Coast Railway, Southern Railway, South Central Railway and South Western Railway. For these zones, an allocation of ₹ 3,481 crore has been made for the financial year 2025–26, out of which an expenditure (up to January, 2026) of ₹ 3,061 crore has been incurred so far. §Telangana is covered under the jurisdiction of South Central Railway. For the zone, an allocation of ₹ 1,080 crore has been made for the financial year 2025–26, out of which an expenditure (up to January, 2026) of ₹ 1,010 crore has been incurred so far. Tourism Circuits: Indian Railways have issued ‘Bharat Gaurav Trains’ policy in November, 2021, under which theme based tourist trains are being run with the objective to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world. As per this policy, service providers have full flexibility to decide the themes/itineraries for operation of Bharat Gaurav tourist circuit trains, which may include tourist circuits of any part of India, including Andhra Pradesh and Telangana based on market demand, commercial viability etc. ***** §
